Paris in October

Has tips on what to expect in Paris in October. Handy. I didn’t think it’s gonna be that cool. Perhaps I need to consider bringing warmer coats for everyone

what about clothes.. the kids’ clothes?

The longest trip we’ve ever gone on was 10 days to OZ. We brought about 3-4 days worth of clothes.. DH n I brought 2 pairs of pants each. The items that added much bulk was sweaters and such and I think Afya had about 5 days worth of clothes. All the places we stayed at had washer and dryer. So we don’t have anything to worry about.

This upcoming trip is gonna be well over 10 days long. Our plan is to bring 3-5days worth of clothes. All the places we are staying at isn’t necessarily equipped with washer dryer. However DH did mention we will be alternating between accommodation with washer/dryer and without washer/dryer.

@yumyumx of dailyclickclicks posted something awesome about how she handles her kids’ clothes on her recent trip to Japan. She was inspired by @munirahpunye of tripletsplusone who tweeted about how she packed for her 4 kids for her trip. I think this will be how I would want to do it too.

The general idea is to pack clothes, 1 set for each day. So in my case. Salih’s and Afya’s clothes day 1 in one clear and labeled ziplock bag (toldja in our SNUGGstudio tour video [iklan] haha) Jammies are recycled, so 1 jammy for 2 days perhaps? Then also, you will need to pack according to how you think the day would be like.. and what kind of activity you will be having on that day. This includes things like swimming, going to a park? skiing? hiking? then you will also have a few extra sets of clothes.. for extra.. you know how kids are ‘berlengaih’ and sticky on some days for no reasons? hehehehe

I probably am gonna need to come up with a more specific system sing that we have quite a number of things on our itinerary and different climate thing going on.. but at least now I have a point of reference.

They are going to blog about it soon and I hope to place the link here for our reference.

I have uploaded all pictures taken with the e-p1 (by DH mostly) on my facebook page. I’ll be uploading here some of the photos I took with the N8

What we did in Taiping

So we thot we'd be attending the MRSMT Jubli Perak thingie.. unfortunately there was a family matter to attend to so we FFK-ed. Then, this morning getting ready to have breakfast in Hollywood (Canning Garden), I thot maybe we should just go to taiping and just see what's left of the 3 day event. OH agreed. (take a rain check ya nur…)  so right after Hamidia (there weren't any parking spaces in hollywood) we drove to Taiping. It was already 12noon when we reached there, the guards directed us to the Taiping Golf Resort, everyone that's left are all there, he said. 15mins later we were there but couldn't seem to find anyone at the lobby. Plenty of cars but no one who could pass as an old schoolmate was seen. So we called one of the seniors who we know attended the whole event. He's already on his way home coz those ppl that's left are the avid golfers. We kinda just missed them. Hehe.. half expected this to happen already. nvm. We proceeded with jalan2 around Taiping.. braving the hot hot sun.

The first thing we discovered is this fresh looking condotel with swimming pool and RM15 hi-tea buffet in Taiping Golf Resort. There's waterfall less than a kilometer from here.

Then drove around town looking for doli kueytiau. It used to be in the market but now it has moved to the shoplots opposite Klinik Kesihatan Taiping. I can't say for sure whether or not the quality is still the same coz this is the first time I had it but Terry sez it has gone down. I think it's pretty good, maybe even better than the one in stadium ipoh. However, RM8 for a plate of kueytiau special is kinda steep i think. Nasi ayam is… so-so

2 budak lapakueytiau specialmaybe coz it's cikenhmm.. tastes like cikenzaman dulu2chicken ricescreaming contest with the other kid

with plenty of time in our hands, after using panorama hotel's toilet (doli's toilet is… umm… better not) we drove to the old fajar area.. konon nak beli tudung for myself but there weren't any of qood quality/my taste. There were some kids hijab sold at about RM10 each so after seeing a fren's dotter wearing one, I'd love to see Afya wearing one too. When' I let Afya tried one on I really had to fight the urge of screaming like a gurl coz masyaAllah… she's so darn cute! At first I was like.. hmm… maybe I shouldn buy coz of the poor craftmanship. I bought 2. hehehe.

LO in black n whiteThat's me! and budak kecik sipping on my coffee

Dropped by one of the kedai cucur in changkat jering on the way back
and we never ever missed the opportunity to savour freshly deep fried,
sweet, oily, crunchy on the outside, chewy on the inside cucuq
pendiram. Yummehhh!!!
